Besides that, the idea of using “influencers” on a series that takes a critical look at the impact of technology on our psyches and society is kind of meta. And the trailer seems to perfectly capture the style of regular ‘Black Mirror’ installments. Though some may be put off by the idea that the series stars a bunch of YouTubers and other social media types, keep in mind, the regular ‘Black Mirror’ series frequently showcases up and coming actors, many of whom go on to greater mainstream success. The cast also includes Rudy Mancuso, Juanpa Zurita, Lele Pons, Anwar Jibawi, Hannah Stocking, Jeff Wittek, Delaney Glazer and Swedish DJ Alesso. Mitchell currently headlines Freeform’s ‘Good Trouble’ (the follow-up to ‘The Fosters’) and the recent Netflix film ‘The Last Summer’. The ‘Little Black Mirror’ shorts will be released on May 26, June 2 and June 6 on YouTube. These three shorts will be in Spanish and are aimed at the Latinx audience, with a cast of Latinx stars and social media personalities. Netflix is teaming with YouTube to promote the upcoming fifth season of ‘Black Mirror’, with a series of shorts called ‘Little Black Mirror’.
